How we bring it back

What a green-to-clean includes

  • An assessment of your water and equipment condition
  • Heavy skim, net, and brush to clear debris and algae
  • Shock and chemical treatment to kill the algae
  • Filter cleaning so the system can clear the water
  • Follow-up balancing until the pool is clear and safe
  • Before-and-after photos of the whole recovery

Some pools need more than a chemical recovery. Where staining has set into the plaster, we also do acid washes and chlorine washes — the pool is drained and the surface itself is cleaned. We'll tell you straight which one your pool actually needs, and whether it needs one at all.

Good questions

Green-to-clean, answered

How long does it take?
It depends on how severe it is. Many pools clear within a few days of treatment and filtering; heavier cases take longer. We'll give you a realistic timeline after we assess it.
Do you have to drain my pool?
Usually not — most green pools can be recovered chemically without a drain. If a drain is genuinely the better option, we'll explain why before doing anything. Where the plaster itself is stained, that's when a chlorine wash or an acid wash comes in, and both do require draining the pool.
Will it just turn green again?
Not with consistent care. Algae comes back when water sits unbalanced — which is exactly what weekly maintenance prevents.
Can you get it ready by the weekend?
Often, yes — call us and we'll tell you honestly whether your timeline is realistic.
