Nineteen years of pools, built on doing it right

Our story

From riding along with my dad to running my own company

I'm Josiah Linaman, and I've been in the pool industry for over 19 years. But it really started before that — I used to ride along with my dad as he serviced pools for as long as I can remember. One of my fondest memories is riding down to Green Valley with him on a weekend when I was about seven, to service the filtration system on a big commercial pool. That's what shaped my love for this work.

I started officially as a repair technician at 18. I spent a few years in the field, then moved into a retail store where I got a crash course in customer service. From there I went back into repairs and helped a local non-profit start up a pool company, growing it to three employees — before being offered a repair position at a rapidly growing company where my brother was working.

We spent the next eight years working together, helping build that business into a multi-million-dollar-a-year company. That's where I learned what actually matters: high-quality work, exceptional customer service, and consistent dependability. I was then hand-picked to move to Gilbert as the General Manager of a large corporate pool company.

That's why Providence Pool Care exists. I've seen good companies go downhill, and I've seen small companies thrive on nothing but quality, consistency, and honesty. I'd rather be the kind of company you're genuinely excited to refer to your friends and family.

It's also been a blessing to spend 13 of those 19 years working alongside my dad at two of the companies where I gained most of my experience. Now I get to build those same kinds of memories with my three kids — and hopefully pass along a love for doing good work, whatever they end up doing.
